Chuck Walker is the Director of Public Utilities and
the City Engineer for the City of Lufkin. Chuck came to work for the
City of Lufkin in January 2007 after working eleven years as an
engineer for Lufkin Industries. The Director of Public Utilities /
City Engineer is responsible for the following departments: Water
Plant, Sewer Plant, Water and Sewer Utilities Department,
Engineering, GIS / Mapping, Surveying, Floodplain Management, Access
Management and the operations of Kurth Lake. Chuck is a 1997
graduate of Texas A & M University, a Registered Professional
Engineer in the State of Texas, a National Certified Floodplain
Manager and a Certified Public Manager. He is an active member of
the Deep East Texas Chapter of the American Society of Civil
Engineers, Pineywoods Chapter of the Texas Society of Professional
Engineers and Institute of Industrial Engineering.
Chuck is also active with Angelina Youth Soccer as a Board Member.
Chuck is married and has two children.
