LUFKIN GIS AERIAL DOWNLOADS

This is an interactive download system which allows the user to download ECW Images.  This data was developed from 1996 Aerial Photography.  This aerial photography contains 6" pixel size, with a horizontal accuracy of +- two & 1/2 feet.  You will need a program that will read ER Mapper ECW files in order to view these files.  You may download a free viewer at ERMapper.com.  ERMapper.com also contains add-ons which allow many common programs such as AutoCAD and ArcView to read the ECW format.  These files are in world real coordinates: State Plane NAD83, Texas Central Zone, US Survey Feet.  We also now have a MrSid mosaic image of the entire City available on CD, contact the GIS Manager to request this.

To use this system, simply hover over the grid you want to download and click.  A download box will come up, you will then save the file to your computer.  On the average each grid is 1.5mb.  If you encounter any problems contact the GIS Manager.  The AutoCAD topo's developed from the Aerial Photography are also available for download here.
