CITY OF LUFKIN, TEXAS
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
The Planning and Zoning Commission will consider the
following items at the May 14, 2012 Commission meeting:
Conduct a Public Hearing and consider the request of Perry
Brothers, Inc. owner for changing the zoning from a
“Commercial” zoning district to a zoning classification of
“Light Manufacturing” for a 0.115 acre property located 242
feet east of the intersection of Frank Street and Hill
Street and described as Lot 2 of the Frank Street-Hill
Street Subdivision. The purpose of the request is to allow
for the future use of the site for a billboard. This item
also includes a Future Land Use Plan map change from
“Retail” to “Industrial”.
Conduct a Public Hearing to consider a request from Michael
Parker, R.P.L.S., on behalf of Jimmy Carnes, owner, for
approval of the final plat of Carnes’ Nash Road Subdivision,
a 3.821 acre tract of land in the Extra Territorial
Jurisdiction of the City of Lufkin. The property is east of
Fuller Springs Drive and adjacent to Nash Road.
Conduct a Public Hearing to consider a request from James
Paul Mayberry and B.D. Rhodes, owners, for changing the
zoning from a “Planned Unit Development” zoning district to
a zoning classification of “Neighborhood Retail” for three
parcels of land described as 6455 Trailwood Garden Homes
Block 1 Lot 11-12-13 and more commonly known as 2603, 2607
and 2701 Old Union Road. This item also includes a Future
Land Use Plan map change from “Medium Density Residential”
to “Retail”.
