The Planning and Zoning Commission will conduct a Public Hearing to consider the following at the May 13, 2019 Commission meeting:
Conduct a Public Hearing and consider a request by Michael Parker, R.P.L.S., agent on behalf of Whitney & Associates LLC, owner, for a Special Use Permit for a Sheltered Care Facility on property described as 6925 WOODLAND HEIGHTS BLK 5 LOT 3 - 12 & ALLEY and addressed as 300 North Bynum Street in a “Commercial” zoning district.
The Public Hearing will be in the Council Chambers of City Hall located at 300 East Shepherd Avenue by the Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday, May 13, 2019 at 5:00 PM and by the City Council on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 5:00 PM.
Lufkin's 2018 Comprehensive Plan
The City of Lufkin developed and implemented a new Comprehensive Plan in 2018. The Comprehensive Plan is a long-range master plan for our community. Our last long range planning effort was undertaken in 2001. The Comprehensive Plan establishes a vision for the future of Lufkin and provides goals, objectives, and policies to help us realize the vision. It provides the framework, or road map, to guide our community leaders and staff in their decision making.
