CITY OF LUFKIN, TEXAS

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

The City Council will discuss the following item at two Public Hearings at the March 3, 2015 meeting:

The City of Lufkin is considering an annexation for property located adjacent to the southernmost portion of the east side of Lufkin City limits along FM 2108, Old Schoolhouse Road and FM 819. A map of the area is available from the City of Lufkin Planning Office in Room 221 of the City Hall building.

 

The Hearings will be heard in the Council Chambers of City Hall located at 300 East Shepherd Avenue by the City Council on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. The meeting starts at 5:00 PM. If you have questions concerning the annexation process, we encourage you to contact the Planning and Zoning Department at 936-633-024.

 


 

 

CITY OF LUFKIN, TEXAS

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION

 

The Planning and Zoning Commission will consider the following item at the March 9, 2015 Commission meeting: Conduct a Public Hearing to consider a request from applicant Sam Thomas, and owner Eastex Capital Assets, LLC, for approval of a Zone Change from “Agricultural” and “Residential Large” to “Light Manufacturing” for land known as 3402 Ellen Trout Drive, a 12.23 acre portion of property also known as Varilla Subdivision No. 2 Lot 1. This request requires a Future Land Use Map change from Commercial and Low Density Residential to Light Industrial.

 

A Public Hearing to consider this request will be held in the Council Chambers of City Hall located at 300 East Shepherd Avenue by the Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 5:00 PM and by the City Council on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 5:00 PM .
