Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting - June 27th

The Planning and Zoning Commission will consider the following items at the June 27, 2016 Commission meeting:


Conduct a Public Hearing and consider a request from Vertical Bridge Holdings LLC, applicant, to place a 195’ Communications Tower on approximately 5,625 square feet of land zoned “Residential Medium Single Family Dwelling” and “Light Manufacturing” addressed as 500 Abney Avenue.


Conduct a Public Hearing and consider a request from Jean Stanley, applicant, to change the zoning on 1.653 acres of land described as ABS 0029 MICHELI V., TRACT 536, and addressed as 109 Wildlife Lane, from “Residential Large Single Family Dwelling” zoning to “Commercial” zoning. A change to the Future Land Use Map to Commercial will also be considered.


Conduct a Public Hearing and consider a request from C Oliver Investments LLC, applicant, for a Special Use Permit for a Vocational School on property zoned “Planned Unit Development” and addressed as 3302 College Drive.


Conduct a Public Hearing and consider a request from Martin Heines, applicant, changing the zone on land described as ABS 0005 BONTON J. A., TRACT 14, ACRES .94, ABS 0005 BONTON J. A., TRACT 15, ACRES .39, and ABS 0005 BONTON J. A., TRACT 17, ACRES 5.5 and addressed as 2412 P-1 and 2412 Allendale Drive along with 2004 South John Redditt Drive, from “Apartment Dwelling District” zoning to “Local Business” zoning. A change to the Future Land Use Map to Commercial will also be considered.


A Public Hearing to consider the request will be in the Council Chambers of City Hall located at 300 East Shepherd Avenue by the Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 5:00 PM and by the City Council on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 5:00 PM.
