CITY OF LUFKIN, TEXAS
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
The Planning and Zoning
Commission will consider the following items at the May 28,
2013 Commission meeting:
1. Consider the request of Lufkin Mall, a
Joint Venture, for a review of the replat for Lot 11 of the
Brentwood Crossing VII subdivision. The plat is located on
the northwest corner of the intersection of BW Crossing and
South First Street.
2. Consider the request of Panda Express, for
approving an amendment to the Brentwood Crossing VII
Shopping Center Plan for property located on the northwest
corner of the intersection of BW Crossing and South First
Street and being a 33,913 square foot portion of Block 1,
Lot 11 of Brentwood Crossing VIII, also known as 2134 South
First Street.
3. Conduct a Public Hearing and consider a
request from Mark Hicks for a zone change from a
“Residential Large Single Family Dwelling” zoning district
to a “Commercial” zoning district for a 1.089 acre property
described as Lufkin Land and Lumber Company #2, Block 51,
Lot 5 and more commonly known as 1206 South Medford Drive.
This also includes changing the Future Land Use map to
Commercial.
A Public Hearing to consider these requests
will be held in the Council Chambers of City Hall located at
300 East Shepherd Avenue by the Planning and Zoning
Commission on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 5:00 PM and item
three shall be heard by the City Council on Tuesday, June 4,
2013 at 5:00pm.
