The City of Lufkin has mailed notices to property owners within the City’s extraterritorial jurisdiction notifying owners of the potential annexation of their property. If you received a notice letter you may want to attend a public hearing considering the possible annexation of approximately 55 acres located on US Highway 69 South and extending just east of Garrison Drive. A map of the proposed area is available in PDF.

To provide an opportunity for persons interested in the annexation to be heard the Council has scheduled two public hearings. To participate in the hearings come to City Hall, Council Chambers (300 East Shepherd Avenue, Room 102) on Tuesday December 18, 2007 and Wednesday January 2, 2008 at 5PM.
