Speed Hump
Installation This is a document that contains the
City's policies and procedures when it comes to speed humps. Issues
addressed in this document include: request, cost, eligibility,
location, etc. If you have questions about speed humps this is a
must for you.
Utility Extension Policy This policy is to deal with
the questions about utility extensions. This policy contains
information on what can and can not be done dealing with utility
extensions. It also contains the proper procedures for requesting a
utility extension.
Backflow
Ordinance This
is a copy of the ordinance approved by the city council on February
10, 1999. Ordinance #3370 was passed to control the backflow and
cross connections in the City's water distribution system. Download
the entire ordinance to learn more.
This or other similar

Backflow Memo This is a copy of the memo that was sent
out to many organizations and people around the city. This memo
discusses the enforcement of the Backflow Ordinance and the devices
that are required.
CMOM Posted October 23, 2002, the City has adopted a
new sewer operation and maintenance ordinance. This ordinance
establishes guidelines for connecting to, constructing, and
maintaining the City’s sewer collection system.
Sewer Stoppage Memo Posted September 25, 2002 the
Sewer Stoppage Memo is from the City Engineer to all Citizens that
have City Sewer service. This memo details the responsibilities of
the city and of the property owner when sewer stoppages occur.

Drought Contingency Plan In order to conserve the
available water supply and protect the integrity of water supply
facilities, with particular regard for domestic water use,
sanitation, and fire protection, and to protect and preserve public
health, welfare, and safety and minimize the adverse impacts of
water supply shortage or other water supply emergency condition, the
City of Lufkin hereby adopts the following regulations and
restrictions on the delivery and consumption of water.
Drainage Criteria Manual
This manual is in association with the
City's ordinance on drainage practices. This is a great developer's
tool in knowing what you can and cannot do when designing and
redesigning locations. The primary purpose of this drainage criteria
manual is to establish standard principles and practices for the
analysis, design, and construction of primary and secondary drainage
systems in the City of Lufkin.
