Channel 15 Programming

 
Lufkin City Council meetings are broadcast on Channel 15 several times a day. Archived videos are available for all council meetings for the past several years. Click Here for archived meetings

City Hall Update is our monthly news magazine program highlighting news from city hall and events throughout the city. It is broadcasted on SuddenLink Channel  15 and is also available through Consolidated Communication's Video on Demand.

October 2014 Edition: It’s Fall and it’s a great time to get out enjoy numerous activities planned for Lufkin in October. Grab your calendar, we’ll have the details! We’ll check in with Angelina College President Dr. Larry Phillips and find out how the new Fall session is going for students and staff. And we’ll introduce you to a unique service offered by the Burke Center.
 

Memorial Cooking Innovations with Chef Mani and

"Truths N' Tails" airs monthly on Suddenlink Channel 15 and Consolidated Communication's Video on Demand..  Animal Control Director Aaron Ramsey presents several adorable pets that are up for adoption and provide helpful animal care tips.

 

 
Lufkin Panther Football. Panther football games are broadcast during the fall.

Airtimes are from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. nightly, as well as 9:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday's. In addition to being broadcast on Channel 15, the program will be aired on Consolidated Communication's Video on Demand. Classic Movies at the Pines features classic films, newsreels, and serials from the 30's, 40's, 50's and 60's.  These are vintage films that were, or could have been, shown during the heyday of the Pines Theater in downtown Lufkin.  There will be a new film each day and the films are shown at 4:00 am and 10:00 pm.

Texas Parks & Wildlife is a weekly, half-hour program airing on Channel 15.  Each week, the program travels to several different destinations around the state. The stories cover a wide range of topics, from in-depth issues about conservation and the environment, to fun family activities in the outdoors. This show is produced by Texas Parks & Wildlife.
 

Special events such as the Main Street Lufkin's Lighted Christmas Parade, The Power of Pink, and Lufkin Pro Day are shown throughout the year.  Special events are produced by City of Lufkin Channel 15.

 

 

 

 

Emergency Management Communications.  During disasters and hurricane evacuations, Channel 15 becomes one of the primary sources of communications to the public from the Emergency Operations Center.  During Hurricane Ike, up to date information was broadcast several times a day to inform citizens of shelter status, availability of food and water, supplies such as sandbags, and other vital information.  During emergency situations, normal programming will be replaced with emergency management information.
