Emergency
management communications. During disasters and hurricane
evacuations, Channel 15 becomes one of the primary sources of
communications to the public from the Emergency Operations Center.
During Hurricane Ike, up to date information was broadcast several
times a day to inform citizens of shelter status, availability of
food and water, supplies such as sandbags, and other vital
information. During emergency situations, normal programming
will be replaced with emergency management information. |
