THE WOODLANDS — Even with a 6-1 record, the Lufkin Panthers spent much of the past week talking about playing up to their potential.

On Saturday afternoon, Deauntre "Bush" Smiley and the Panthers took a big step in the right direction.

Smiley accounted for 388 yards and five touchdowns and completed all of his 19 pass attempts as the Panthers rolled to a 51-20 win over the College Park Cavaliers at Woodforest Bank Stadium on Saturday afternoon.  Read the article in the Lufkin Daily News.
