The Planning and Zoning Commission will consider the following items:

Conduct a Public Hearing to consider a request on behalf of the owner of 1510 and 1512 S Chestnut St. to change the zoning for the properties from “Residential Large” to an “Apartment” zoning district on properties described as J.L. QUINALTY SURVEY, ABS 40, TRACTS 116 AND 117 (18.93 Acres). This item also includes a Future Land Use Plan map change from “Medium Density Residential” to a “High Density Residential” classification.

Conduct a Public Hearing to consider a request on behalf of the owner of 3406 College Dr. to change the zoning for the property from “Planned Unit Development” to a “Commercial” zoning district on the property described as the L.F. BLOUNT SUBDIVISION, BLK 2, LOT 2 (5.0 Acres).

Conduct a Public Hearing to consider a request on behalf of the owner of 1701, 1711, and 1803 Champions Dr. to change the zoning for the property from “Apartment” to a “Residential Small” zoning district on the property described as CROWN COLONY COUNTRY CLUB SUBDIVISION NO. 1, BLK 1, LOTS 2, 3, and 4 (2.75 Acres).

Conduct a Public Hearing to consider a request on behalf of the owner of 2201 Cairo Street to change the zoning for the property from “Residential Small” to a “Manufactured Dwelling” zoning district on the property described as TRACT 497, ANASTACIO BARELA SURVEY ABS. 49 (.5 ACRES).

Conduct a Public Hearing to consider a request on behalf of the owner of 700 N John Redditt Dr. to change the zoning for the property from “Residential Large” and “Commercial” to a single “Commercial” zoning district on the property described as HALEY’S LOOP 287 SUBDIVISION NO. 2, BLK 1, LOT 1 (3.03 Acres). This also involves the approval of a Special Use Permit for a Veterinary Hospital.

The Public Hearing will be in the Council Chambers of City Hall located at 300 East Shepherd Avenue by the Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday, December 13, 2021 at 5:00 PM.

The Official Zoning Map has is available for viewing in the Planning and Zoning Department (Room 255).  Staff can assist you in producing small area maps if needed at 300 East Shepherd Avenue by the Planning and Zoning Commission. They meet the first and fourth Monday of each month.
